Storm8 World War

Photobucket
Since the release of Mafia Wars, there has been an steady increase in online multiplayer games in the app store, all with the same concept. They have become extremely popular and none more so than Storm8's World War
The object of World War is to build your defence and attack to allow you to win battles through income and building your alliance with other members.
If you played Mafia Wars before, then Storm8 World War will be no problem for you
If you are not familiar with this type of game then the gameplay will definately seem a bit confusing and perhaps overwhelming. There is a lot of data on the screen and it can take some time to get used to where everything is located. In addition, Storm8 keep updating the screen graphics which can initially produce more confusion. The latest update from Storm8 is more graphic intensive, increasing screen load time. However, there are some updated features which are more than welcome compared to older versions
Storm8 World War is undoubtedly one of the most popular (over 1.3 million downloads) multiplayer online games for the iPhone and iPod Touch. The graphics are pretty good and the limited audio effects (if you enable them) are adequate, giving you a bit of a sense of battle although I feel there could be more
The good thing about this game is that the action never stops and can prove to be very addictive. When you leave the game, people can still attack you, leave comments, sanction you and as time ticks by, you still earn $$ from your income buildings. Log on again and you can find many things have happened since your last visit, you earned a pile of $$ but lost some when you were attacked by other players. You lost some of your units when you where attacked, you have invites to join other players alliances, comments from other players and if you annoyed someone, they may have sanctioned you up to a maximum of 25 times in 24 hours. Oops!! This is why the game so addictive. You always need to be on top of everything to make sure you are ideally placed to defend against attacks and strategically placed for leveling up
In my opinion, Storm8 World War is a well established favorite that will keep you coming back for a long time
Can there be any improvements to this game? Leave a comment below please!

iPad Delivered a Day Early

So, The official UK launch date for the iPad was today at 8am, 28th May 2010, but pre order customers by the hundreds are confirming that UPS had delivered their iPads yesterday. Lucky them!

In the UK, there have been queues of people waiting overnight for their chance to, at long last, get their hands on 'The Pad'. But they weren't as long as the queue's for the iPhone launch in 2007 and there's no guarantee that they will get one, all stock is on a first come, first served basis with only two iPads per customer. Some people who didn't want to queue for the iPad, actually paid other people to queue and buy their iPad for them.

It all sounds like a life or death situation for something that essentially is a giant iPhone or iTouch.

Is there anything it can do that the others can't?

Are you going to rush out and get one (Apple say there is only enough stock on the shelves to last until tomorrow) or like most of us, are you going to wait!
